In today’s rapidly changing environment, it is becoming increasingly important that leaders look inwards and take ownership of their journey to become efficacious and develop a progressive mindset as ‘Leaders of Tomorrow’. Aarohan, which is a six month long structured and comprehensive intervention will enable leaders to be successful by building their individual potential and leadership excellence in the most progressive manner.
The USP of the program is that it is rooted into both eternal Indian philosophies and pragmatic western theories. On one hand, it draws inspiration from The Mahabharata, the Navarasas and the Natyashastra allowing participants to connect with their emotions. On the other hand, it exquisitely amalgamates Logotherapy by Victor Frankl with concepts by Peter Singe, Stephen Covey, Jim Collins and the likes. This customized intervention leads to new, actionable ideas resulting in a broadened vision, renewed energy and a greater connection to an individual’s potential.
The journey of Aarohan has been divided into 2 parts: Leading Self and Leading Others.
Leading Self focuses on enabling the participants to believe in the Power of Self, understand their current beliefs / patterns / motivations / preferences.
This phase has been conceptualized with the paradigm that Self-awareness is extremely empowering as it arms the leaders with the knowledge of how to conquer their barriers, leaving them strongly connected with their strengths. Leaders begin to comprehend how their positioning can maximise benefit for themselves as a professional and as a team player. It enables them to make better choices — to change, grow and hence achieve their vision.
The participants would look within their core, overcome their limiting beliefs, get connected to their emotions and values which drive their thoughts and actions. This self-awareness will enable them to commence their personal leadership journey of Self-Management and create an Executive Presence for themselves.
Leading Others focuses on building trusting relationships by developing credibility and competence, resolving conflicts in a healthy manner, motivating the team towards the desired success, making effective and impactful conversations and valuing differences. Drawing inspiration from best sellers like, ‘5 Dysfunctions of a team’, ‘Speed of Trust’, ‘Conversational Intelligence’ and Indian time-tested intellection of authors like Gurcharan Das’ ‘Difficulty of Being Good’, Raghu Ananthanarayan’s ‘Leadership Dharma’, the Leading Others phase enables the leaders to lead with passion and vision by strengthening their team’s cohesion, building high performance standards by inculcating ownership in team members, and by inspiring others continuously.
On the basis of the needs of organizations, a third element of Functional Excellence may be added to this journey. This element would groom the leaders to lead functions effectively – at present or in the future. This phase could also focus on preparing leaders for larger roles by giving them rich cross functional exposure helping them understand the bigger picture and further develop technical and functional skills. This would immensely aid participants in understanding the end-to-end process of value creation.
