Leading with Emotional Intelligence

The world is moving towards some interesting realities: the more technology we have in this digital age, the more we desire to automate tasks and trust machines to take over duties. However, at the same time, more than anything else, we are realizing the importance of emotions, feelings and human touch in relationships and more specifically Emotional Intelligence. Years of research has proven that Emotional Intelligence, also referred to as Emotional Quotient (EQ), is the most vital aspect for successful leadership, career success and overall effectiveness.

The program helps participants understand that Emotional Intelligence is the ability to recognize emotions in ourselves and others, to understand their effect, and to use that knowledge to guide our thoughts and behaviours. With the gender and generation diverse workforce, the complexity of interactions of emotions and how they are expressed has increased multi-fold. Hence, Emotional Intelligence is more significant than ever.

The program does much more than just cover the theory of Emotional Intelligence. Participants will understand the importance of achieving personal awareness, connecting with others, managing stress, engaging in healthy conflict and collaboration, and exhibiting resilience and optimism. A strong grasp of this crucial skillset is essential to effective collaboration, productivity and accomplishment. By incorporating powerful tools and classroom activities, the participants will practice and hone their skills to master the strategies learned and effectively communicate, connect with and support others through healthy and productive interactions. In addition, participants will also gain the knowledge and skills to manage emotions, raise their EQ, apply EQ to understand themselves and others and develop a plan for self-improvement.
