Resolving Conflicts

Conflicts are inevitable. They are caused usually when goals, values, needs or wants of the individuals involved are different or in opposition. Sometimes, conflicts are resolved amicably and professionally but more often, they lead to pointing fingers, finding faults, anxiety, anger, bitterness and frustration. Conflicts that are ignored or resolved badly don’t go away–they cause people to feel resentful and make them avoid each other. The effects on the company are a loss of productivity, absenteeism and turnover.

Our program, Resolving Conflicts goes directly to the heart of this problem. The program focuses primarily on the premise that conflicts lead to growth as they expand the person’s ability to think. Conflicts need to be resolved and NOT avoided. In the program, participants will get an understanding of themselves and their trigger points of conflicts, adapting their style to the situation to handle emotions appropriately. These skills will enable the participants to develop conflict resolution strategies to effectively recognise and resolve conflicts with others. They will also learn key skills like how to identify their conflict resolution style, finding the root cause of the issue, the importance of forgiveness, anger management strategies and de-escalating challenging situations by having purposeful conversations.

This will lead the participants to turn conflicts into conversations by managing emotions and building a common ground for everyone, thereby creating a win-win situation by achieving resolution of the conflict.
