This 16-hour program takes an Inside Out approach to Storytelling, starting from identifying and strengthening the foundations of a good story, understanding which aspects of a story to emphasize according to different audiences and writing effective stories.

- The Art of Storytelling – Understand how stories need to be emotional, believable, consistent, containing satisfying lessons and outcomes and move people to action by it.
- The Science of Storytelling – Understand how hearing a story activates all parts of brain which would be activated if listeners were actually experiencing the events of the story. This would lead to understanding how to harness charater, twist, plot and sequence of story for a more connected and richer experience of the message. 1. Generating hypothesis to create an effective storyline 2. Writing stories for audiences to effectively interact with new knowledge. (Factful Stories) 3. Writing stories to deepen understanding of any intended topic/issue/message. 4. How to engage audiences in stories – asking the right questions, giving mind-blowing answers. Patterns of Storytelling – How to arrange sequence of events to start with a relevant statement and end with the point to be conveyed
- Effective Stories – Identifying, collecting and constructing true stories at work. This would involve techniques to identify myths and preconcienved notions which may not be based on updated data. Using powerful stories to dissolve myths and establish new perspectives based on updated data and new developments. How to tell one story which integrates the approach of ‘Using data to tell stories’ with the approach of ‘Using stories to tell data’.
- Contextualizing Stories – 1. How to incorporate stories which are relevant to the business context. For example – understanding when to make stories emotional, when to make stories larger than life, when should stories focus on the big-picture or when stories focus on inter-personal relations etc. 2. Getting connected to 9 different emotions, so as to evoke the desired emotions in the audience through the stories. Contextualizing Stories – How to create different storylines as per the need of the audience and objective of the conversation. 1. Stories for Clarity 2. Stories for Connection 3. - Mind to Paper – Emphasizing the importance of writing simple, honest stories in real language and polishing stories with just the right amount of details, not too little and not too much.
